1.5 hours of 1:1 therapy with Kate in a natural setting with nature acting as mirror and metaphor to find meaning and growth to enable healing
In ecotherapy the focus is on cultivating a sense of wholeness, - in other words, focusing on and fleshing out our connection to our essential strengths and gifts that come with the incontrovertible fact of being human. Only when wholeness is felt absolutely do we then start to begin the recovery and healing journey.
The ecotherapeutic sessions are coproduced between therapist and participant and are designed to support the cultivation of wholeness through a range of nature based activities followed by a therapeutic intervention to enable you to develop self-compassion and begin to explore and challenge your habitual patterns of behaviour.
Ecotherapy will support you to be in a kinder relationship with the most vulnerable and exiled parts of your psyche.
All participants must have an established practice of resourcing themselves in nature before the therapeutic work can begin. 1:1 Nature, Health and Wellbeing can be undertaken first to ensure ecotherapy is possible.
Private or professional referrals accepted.
Group sessions are also available.
Connects us to the vast story that goes beyond the human-centric world and reunites us with the mystery of being a part of the cosmos and the web of life.
Where we work with nature as a mirror and metaphor that deepens our sense of belonging to the mysterious vastness of it all and where we connect to our unique journey to embodying our deepest meaning and purpose.
Evokes a transpersonal connection - where we experience awe and wonder from our relationship to soul, earth and sky.
Not recommended for people without a strong nature practice and who have not actively participated in their own therapeutic healing journey. This is because Wild as Well is not here to encourage "spiritual bypassing" - a way of experiencing blissful encounters that last only as long as life is easy. We want you to bring home the wisdom of the animate world back into your every day life, where effective and active change can happen in ourselves, our communities and in protection of our natural world.
